V-ALPHA-050
← The Speed Reciprocal
Sequence 06

Energy Fluence (J/mm²)

Power, Speed, and Density are not separate controls—they are variables in a single equation that determines the Total Energy Dose delivered to the material.

Act I: The Bug

The "Under-Threshold" Ghost

Power (%) 10%
Speed (mm/s) 1000 mm/s
Calculated Fluence
0.016 J/mm²
Mark Visibility
Invisible
Fluence = (Power × α) / (Speed × Spot × Density)
Result: Under-Threshold
The Failure: At very high speeds or low power, the total Fluence is too low to raise the surface temperature to the oxidation point (~450°C). The photons simply bounce off the mirror-polished SS304.
Act II: The Fix

Dose Balancing (Target Hitting)

Power (%) 30%
Speed (mm/s) 200 mm/s
Current Fluence
0.380 J/mm²
Interaction
Annealing
Target Window: 0.35 - 0.45 J/mm²
(The Golden Window for Deep Blue SS304)
The Success: By balancing Power and Speed, you can hit the same Fluence Target using multiple combinations. High Power/High Speed is efficient; Low Power/Low Speed is precise. As long as the dose is the same, the color will match.
